- Bike fit is a marriage between the bicycle and the rider
- Dynamic bike fit is better than static bike fit
- Cycling is a sport of repetition
About BG FIT
Proper position on the bike is critical for all levels of cyclists. For a novice rider, a BG FIT ensures maximum comfort and cycling ease. Experienced riders will find that a good fit increases efficiency, power, and comfort. Cyclists of all levels will reduce their chance of cycling-related injuries.
A good position allows the rider to adapt to changes in terrain, cadence, and effort while also remaining comfortable. The goal is to fit the bike so the rider can comfortably cruise with their hands on the hoods, climb, and relax using the tops, as well as descend and sprint from the drops. This 15-step bike fit will put the rider in a powerful and comfortable position achieving a correct neutral fit that allows the rider to adapt to any terrain he or she encounters.
Principles of BG FIT
Bike fit is a marriage between the bicycle and the rider. If the two are incompatible, the marriage will fail. There is an important qualifier to this rule. The bike can be adjusted to the rider’s anatomy in multiple ways, such as moving the saddle up or down or changing the stem. The body can be adjusted only in minor ways, such as with a carefully designed stretching program.
